Description

This Colonial cabinet catch is operated by lifting and pulling the small knob. Designed for use on cabinet doors or interior shutters, it adds a unique and authentic period flavor to any room. The rim-style catch is surface mounted onto the cabinet frame or in the case of double doors or shutters, the adjacent panel. Made of 1/16" thick forged iron with a smooth black finish.

Dimensions. Latch: 1 13/16" H x 2 1/16" W x 11/16" P. Catch: 1 13/16" H x 9/16" W x 11/16" P.

Hardware Tip

Forged: Process of forming brass or other metals into a particular shape by heating the metal and hand pounding or cutting with high pressure dies. Items made in this way are very strong and heavy.

A Fantastic reproduction Latch!

These latches add a terrific final touch to the white kitchen island I just finished for my wife. Looks great with matching black forged iron hinges! They work very smooth! So glad we decided on these! Thanks!

black wrought latch.

Comments:

have antique cabinet my father in law made in high school in 1916. It is of solid walnut. The wood is beautiful. The doors because of age will not stay shut so am using latch to keep them closed.

H-style hinges and door latch

Comments:

I made a shaker style set back cabinet and wanted H-style hinges. I looked at a lot of different places and couldn't find the right ones, cheap looking. Then I found theses ones, the quality and look are perfect. I ordered then and a few days later I received the hinges and door latch, which matched perfect. Very happy.

My Hutch Door Latch

Hutch custom made many years ago. Knob came off the latch. Could not find replacement anywhere and went on line and there it was. When received, installed it on doors and all back to normal. Absolutely delighted!
