Good Quality Materials With a Design Flaw

Comments:

The hardware itself is very high quality, but the screws are too long for most installations. Most screens are made of 1x stock which is 0.75 actual thickness. The screw shanks are 0.9 long and will poke through the wood considerably when installed. If you have a full 1"" thick screen or storm window pocket and use 1"" wood, you are in luck. If you are like most of us and have a 3/4"" thick pocket and use 3/4"" wood, you will need to find other screws that do not protrude.

Very happy with this product.

Comments:

Finally reglazed two old windows( after 15 years) in our house from 1785, and didn't have the heart to put the aluminium storms back on. Made my own wooden storms from scratch, but needed the right hardware to make it work. Your products made the whole project possible.
