Looks great in an historic arts & crafts/storybook house

Arts & Crafts sconses

Comments:

Re-modeling my living room in an Arts & Crafts style. Used these as background lighting on opposite sides of fireplace above cabinets. Had electrician install them. They look nice and complement the room along with other Inglenook light fixtures that I have.

Beautiful accompaniment to the rest of the Inglenook line

Comments:

I have the torchiere as well as the semi-flush ceiling mount in this design. The colors in each lamp are not exact replicas - there are variations in the coloring of the materials - but that is in keeping with the style. Next on the list is most likely the pendant. Even unlit these give a warm feel to the home and when illuminated it turns up the cozy.

Considering

Comments:

I like the sconces, however I am not yet completely satisfied as it gives off a very yellow light in my hallway. I am trying to correct with daylight bulbs, but I do not think the hue will change much. Another thing I noticed was that the lights let light escape round the edges. I have textured walls, and these lights did not sit exactly flush to the wall, so I added some thin foam sticky strips to the fixture edges to give it a solid look and block escaping light.

Focal point

Comments:

The mounting strap on the back of the glass framework would bend and cause the fixture to creep away from the wall. Had to drill extra holes in the strap to mount to wall - broke small piece of stained glass, however not too noticeable.

The sodering is poor.
