Description

Our elegant Large Federal-Style Knob and Back Plate (1 5/8-Inch Diameter) was popular on Sheraton-style furniture. A perfect choice for restorations, it is also a wonderful addition to your kitchen or bath cabinets. Reproduced in stamped and wrought brass.

Knob dimensions: 1 5/8" diameter x 1 1/8" projection. Rosette: 1 5/8" diameter.

Hardware Tip

The diameter is measured at the widest point and the projection is how far it will stick out from the cupboard or drawer.

Backing plate is not 1 5/8. It is 1 1/2.

Comments:

I am replacing knobs on my desk These are stated to be 1 5/8 inch as my originals are. Instead they are 1 1/2 leaving a1/16 inch ring around the backing plate due to the years of unexposed wood under the original 1 5/8 backing plates.

Not exactly as described

Comments:

These pulls were described as ""unlacquered solid brass."" So I expected nice heavyweight brass pulls, with no lacquer. I wanted unlacquered brass, so they would naturally tarnish and develop a patina with age. Imagine my surprise when they arrived. Not only are they very lightweight, but - yes - they are lacquered. So they'll stay looking like cheap, shiny reproduction pulls forever.
