Grandeur "Parthenon" Entrance Door Set With Parthenon Knobs
Description
Door set dimensions: Solid brass knobs are 2 1/4" in diameter. Backplates are 7 7/8" H x 2 5/8" W.
Latch dimensions: Backset is 2 3/8" or 2 3/4" - specify when ordering. Latch case: 1" diameter. Latch face plate: 2 1/4" H x 1" W.
Deadbolt specs: Decorative face plates are 3 5/16" H x 2 5/8" W. The deadbolt has a pick-resistant Schlage C keyway and a 1" throw. Multiple sets on one order will be keyed alike unless otherwise requested. To key individually or to match a specific key number, please call to place your order.
This set will fit doors from 1 3/4" - 2" in thickness, with a minimum 5 1/2" center to center boring for the latch and deadbolt. A "thick door kit" for doors up to 2 1/4" in thickness is available for a small fee. Please call for details.

A Beautiful Statement Piece for a Grand Entrance

We haven't installed this door set yet but it is heavy, solid, superior finish and has great beauty. It is going to update the entry door to our pre-war unit in New York beautifully. We couldn't find any remaining door hardware left over in the building and this is just the ticket to make our authentic remodel fit with the time and quality of our design. So glad to find this beautiful, great product and the price is fair. Can't wait to see it on the front door.

Beautiful, but not for daily use

This is an absolutely beautiful and well made piece. But, the finish simply doesn't last. While customer service has great replacing our worn knob that lost its patina after months, it's completely worn off again. Photo below shows the knob after 1.5 year of indoor use. For $400+ I am very disappointed that the finish can't hold up. I recommend this only for doors that are hardly used where you just want a nice look.

Front Door Set - Really Solid Brass!

We were surprised how heavy this set was. I have put door knobs/sets in before, but we had our carpenter put this in because it's in our solid Maple front door on our 100 year old house,and didn't want any messes! It looks beautiful on the door, and completely appropriate for the Craftsman house.
