Great looking but DO NOT TWIST
Comments:
We used two sets of these tacks (along with the ones numbered 1-25) to mark our windowsills and storm windows. They look great, and I'm happy to know the numbers will remain visible if they are painted over in the future. Besides the fact that they are pretty expensive for a good-looking set of tacks, the biggest problem with them is that the heads will shear off if they are twisted sideways as you try to hammer or push them in. The remaining head has a little bit of a spike left, so it can still be hammered into the windowsill and will probably not come off. The ones on the storm windows hang vertically though, so having a spikeless tack is bad. After some frustrating errors resulting in sheared-off tacks, we ended up using a C clamp to apply the even, straight pressure needed to push them into the storm windows.
