good looking light, made in China

Comments:

This light was installed in our homes entry way to add some nice color and pattern to our predominately white ceiling and walls. It definitely looks great, but I had to modify the light so that the glass shade fit closer to the ceiling. without modifications the light shade hung too low and you could see the installation mount and a very wide gap between the shade and ceiling with no adjustment available. I had to bend some parts with pliers and a vice until the fit was near perfect. We put a couple of standard 40 watt bulbs in the sockets turned it on and after 3 minutes it was dangerously hot (hence why there is a large gap). Then my wife suggested switching out the old school bulbs for the much cooler led type bulbs and success. I was disappointed to find out this lamp was made in China and not the USA.

Sophisticated light for a small entry

Comments:

Our ceilings are kind of low, so I was happy to find a light for our entryway that doesn't stick out far from the ceiling. We have some bright LEDs in it that cast a warm, soft glow through the shade. If you're installing this in an area where you need bright illumination, make sure this isn't the only light source. For me it's perfect because I wanted something softer. Installation was straightforward after I watched a ""This Old House"" video about replacing light fixtures. It was my first time doing it, and it went smoothly!
