Twisted-Swirl Coat Hook In Matte Black

Despite the listing, this is not a ""authentic hand forged"" piece. I believe this because there is a parting line on both sides of the piece that is still visible. In the spots where the parting line is no longer visible, there are objectionable grind marks. Often the grinding was too deep and removed details. I strongly suspect this piece is not forged, but instead is cast. HoAH need to revise their listing so the description parallels the price point.

We are building a new home and had chosen black wrought iron for one of the bathrooms for fixtures. This matched perfectly in color and style to the towel bar accessories and the faucets. Really completed the look with a nice hook for robes and towels.

The item was as pictured; however, I focused on the statement that it was hand forged...Had I enlarged the photo, I would have seen that these hooks are cast in a mold, not forged, as described. They are adequate for my needs as mudroom hooks but not quite the quality I was expecting. I would only recommend with clarification of how the items are constructed and that the buyer enlarge the photo, to see exactly what they will receive.

Used them on a mudroom cubby and the hooks look great.

We put the coat hooks (6) on a finished piece of solid Oak and hung in our foyer for guest to hang their coats. It looks beautiful and we are very happy with the style and look of the hooks.
