Used with privacy latches and mortise locks, its hardened steel construction provides smooth operation and long-lasting wear. At 4 3/4" in length, it's ideal for thicker doors. Features a standard 9/32" thickness and stop pin for stability.

Keep breaking

These spindles last 6 months at best before they break and we need to buy a new one. I can't find them anywhere else so have to keep buying them until we replace the original door handles.

I bought this item to replace a poorly made piece that comes with the $300+ 'New York Entry Mortise Set'. The knobs pull right out of the door with half of the spindle attached. These I bought as a replacement, and are far superior to the ones included with the mortise set. I couldn't think of one way to improve upon these if I made them myself. As a note, three of the five mortise sets I bout, failed prior to replacing the spindle.
