Large Solid-Brass Casement Latch

Excellent product, very well made. BUT, I wish the mortised strike plates were sold separately. My 100 year old house is full of large casement windows with large latches, but the original mortises for the strike plates are too small for the plates that come with the large latches — so, I am forced to purchase latch sets in both sizes (large and small) to get the parts I need (large latches, small strike plates). Its expensive and annoying.

The casement latches I bought for our 1931 home kitchen windows were as close to the originals I have seen. They look great on our windows. Thanks!!

I'm restoring a 130-year-old house and needed latches to replace those that had been painted over or badly tarnished. This latch was perfect. I used it for a latch to lock two french doors (each 14 inches wide) for a bathroom remodel. I ordered this for a small window along with some hinges. It was an excellent item but I decided that I should have ordered the smaller version so I returned it, and ordered the other. There was no problem or hassle. I returned the items,received credit and the smaller one is already installed, and looks great. The details make the project.
