Description
These Lag Mounted Rat Tail Shutter Dogs are an elegant addition to any home. An authentic colonial design, they're made of heavy duty cast iron, then galvanized and finished with a rust-resistant black powder coat. Easily mounted to masonry with the included lag bolt (anchors recommended - not included).
Dimensions. 6" H x 1" W x 2 1/8" projection (at curl). Lag bolt: 4 3/16" L. Shank: 1 1/8" threading to head.

Hardware Tip
Galvanized iron and steel is plated with zinc before the powder-coating is applied. This dramatically increases the rust resistance over items that are only painted or powder-coated.

My husband put these shutter dogs up very easily and quickly. We live in an historically correct Cape Cod style home and together with the shutter hinges we also applied, there is another level of historical accuracy and interest to the house. Love them! Delivery was very prompt
