Description

This narrow keyhole escutcheon is designed for vertical mounting on cabinet or furniture doors. Designed in the Chippendale style of the late 18th century, it's ideal for a colonial breakfront, secretary, or wardrobe. Made of solid brass, the polished suface is left unlaquered, allowing it to age gracefully, just like the antique originals.

Dimensions: 3/4" W X 2 5/8" H.

Hardware Tip

Stamped: Process of forming brass or other metals by using a thin sheet and pressing or stamping it into a mold. Stamped is the same as pressed or wrought and is thin compared with forged or cast.
WARNING: California Proposition 65

Key hole cover for antique bookcase.

Comments:

I have a 100 year old bookcase with an original solid glass door. The trim around the glass is approx. 2"" wide but the locking mechanism was placed within a half an inch of the edge. This is the only cover I found that not only fit but look appreciate. On the con side. I wish it had been available in antique gray. I hda to refinish it to match the rest of the hardware.
