These look very similar to the broken ones on my antique chest and I am happy to find these and replace the broken ones. They are much bigger than the originals but they look great.

I am a contractor with 24 years of experience. I installed these cabinet latches on custom made cabinets in my own home. These are very attractive pieces and they fit the period exactly, but after one year of use it is clear that the internal castings are of poor fit and quality. Having used House of Antique Hardware several times before for other projects we were aware that the look was great but functionality was not so great so we ordered several extras for replacements. I have been disappointed with how many of these catches have failed in a fairly short time leaving my cabinets stuck closed. The internal castings are solid brass but the fit is so poor that it takes little wear to cause them to fail. When House of Antique Hardware started the price point was way better than competitors and it was possible to get a unique reproduction piece for a great price, however as they have gained market share the price has crept steadily up but the quality remains static. At this point I would recommend carefully looking at competitors before buying.

Used to create a vintage look for new closet

The picture does look like color of item shipped. The product is actually a light grey color and looks like new. This will not match any older original hardware.

This little gem is a near perfect match to a latch that was on a closet set of doors. It is working wonderfully and almost matches hinges we purchased from your company.

The latch was used to replace one that I, had purchased about 8 years ago. I had replaced two latches on a 150 year old desk that did not match the drawer pulls. The Windsor latches match the pulls perfectly.

This was an excellent replacement of the original grease that had broken. The quality is excellent.
