Description

The butterfly pattern on our ornate Victorian Butterfly Turn Latch in Antique-By-Hand gives a fanciful look to your cabinets and furniture. Finely cast from solid brass and hand-finished with our living antique patina.

Latch: 2" W x 2 3/16" H. Knob: 1 1/8" W. Projection: 1 1/4". Catch: 1 1/16" W x 2 3/16" H. Projection 5/8".

Hardware Tip

Cast: Process where molten brass, iron or other metals are poured and formed in molds often made of sand. The products made in this manner are often thick and heavy.

Amazing hardware

Disappointed with quality

Comments:

The latches and catches themselves are good quality & heavy. However, the latches came as dry as a desert and needed considerable oil to work smoothly. MORE disappointing was the quality of the screw mounting hardware. They were poor in quality, mismatched in both color & length. The finish scraped off immediately & and created sharp burrs at the screw slots. The head of one completely snapped on install. Can't finish until I go to my hardware store for better screws. I would recommend but be aware of screw quality.

Jazzed up a built in that was an absolute blight.

I live in a 1700 house that was ""moderized"" poorly prior to buying it in 2014 and have been restoring it since. We had a built in that was absolutely disgusting, after a fresh coat of time period paint color and these used for the cabinet doors it looms absolutely amazing.
