Added charm to my 1939 NYC bathroom

Comments:

The Cast Iron Transom Operator in Antique Iron Finish has complemented the newly installed Transom Window perfectly. I could not be more pleased with the quality, finish and operation of the Operator. Adding the Transom Window and Operator to my 1939 NYC Bathroom not only made practical sense but also added to the charm of the apartment - looks like it's always been there.

Follow up to Buyer beware... Buyer be very wary

Comments:

Three out of four broke at exactly the same spot rendering them useless.

I would buy again only if I received instructions

Comments:

with how much i paid for the transom operator, you would think that they could come up with better instructions on how to put it together. the only instructions were a drawing of the transom hooked up to the window. looks like it was made by a 12 year old.

Installation instructions

Comments:

This product could use more detailed installation instructions. Had to use images and videos from the internet to install.

Just like the originals

Comments:

Brought back the character of our 1907 home!!!

Made an 1840 transom functional again

Comments:

We installed two of these in a home built in 1840; now part of a desiganted historic area. We replaced the front doors and side lights, but were told by the Historic Commission that we had to maintain the original transoms. These had been painted shut for decades, but now with this hardware they work great and give some much-needed ventilation.

Not high quality. Made in India.

Comments:

Very disappointing product. Expected high quality steel construction in a design exactly the same as original transom operator hardware. What arrived was broken and made of mostly brittle pot metal parts. Not the strong simple design I expected. Returned.

Sturdy piece of hardware, would buy again

Comments:

Great product

Top cast metal slide broke.

Comments:

Installed in main front door transom . Operated up/down about 10 times and the top pin hinge slide cracked in half.

Transits!?!

Comments:

How many homes have transits anymore? I had almost given up finding hardware in my price range for these authentic windows. What a find!!!
