Scrolling Vine Picture Moulding Hook

The hook is a great size and shape to fit most picture rails. The design is pretty but not over done, so it goes with lots of interior styles. It's sturdy and well made. I only wish the pattern were a bit more refined, though given the height these are installed, it's really not an issue.

Bronze finish is wonderful and the extra wide hook does keep picture wire more stable than thinner hooks, however, it hangs only about halfway down standard 3.5"" picture rail, so it looks a bit short & stocky.

The hooks are as shown in the picture -- well crafted, attractive, and sturdy. I selected the dark oiled bronze hooks and am very pleased with the purchase.

My husband and I have restored a 1916 arts and crafts home. There were a few moulding hooks remaining attached to the moulding and the ones I purchased from House of Antique Hardware is an exact match. We are thrilled with the product - both in appearance and quality.

These match the original I found painted over in my 1880's home. Hanging pictures from the rail using these preserves the old style and also preserves the old horsehair plaster which deteriorates with picture-hanger holes.

I had a great ""retired"" carpenter put up art rails into my solid, reinforced concrete walls, so that I could hang artwork by my daughter and that I have collected in traveling. These hooks, and the others I bought from this site, are perfect for hanging everything from a heavy slate/stone gecko mosaic to the delicate picture box dioramas created by my Persian artist friend.
