Love the quality of this, nice detail work. I read in another review that it was a shiny finish even though it was listed black – it's more like an eggshell with a rich finish.

Have a house built in the late 1880's. Still have the original victorian door hinges. However, I'm unable to remove the pins from the hinge. I still can't believe how your product matches well to the original door hinges. So happy my brother found your website. Hopefully more purchases of your product, in the future.

Authentic looking hinges

These look nice. The finish is glossy black, not matte black, but the have major quality control issues. The parts from one hinge will not fit in another, so if you accidentally install the wrong hinge on the top or bottom of your door, you won't be able to hang the door. The pins are also not interchangeable. Not a big deal, but worth knowing before you install. The screws that come with these are terrible, I will recommend you buy your own screws to install. The entire screw is painted with a thick coat of paint that chips easily. This includes the threads, so the screw has no bite on wood. Even if you hand screw them in, no the finish on the head will chip off about 20-30%, of the time. The metal screw underneath is always rusted. These guys just took their old rusty screws and threw them in a vat of black paint. Do yourself a favor and buy replacements before you install. This is really the only option for a black reproduction hinge, so I'm that way it's the best product on the market.

Using this hinges on some handmade doors and casement windows I made. I'm using ash that I cut from my front yard. I needed something special. Something with character and functionality. Quality. Hinges with a statement. These hinges delivered.

I would buy this product again, it is very well made.
