Plain Painted Steel Picture Rail Hook

Found an old hall tree that needed hooks...worked perfect!!

I use it to hang art work in my home.

Perfect for for our picture rail! Pretty and humble. Had searched everywhere for picture rail hooks, will order these again.

These S-hooks to hang pictures fit the rail unobtrusively and work very well to be able to change the position of art in the room.

Just like the normal brass ones, but they match my paint and sort of disappear into the wall. I want people to look at the art, not the hardware, so this is great.

This restoration is my family home. It is the oldest house in Wilmington, North Carolina. Historians think it was built some time in the 1760s. We know it was built before 1767, when it is mentioned in a will. My husband and I have restored it and are planning for it to qualify for Federal Tax Credits.In order to do that it has to be rented for 5 years. These wonderful Picture Rail Hooks will replicate the ones that were used in the house over the years. They will also keep tenants from needing to put nail holes in the walls to hang pictures.

Overall, I was so impressed with House of Antique Hardware's selection of picture rail hooks, when local stores here in San Francisco have a very limited stock. We settled on the white version of this simple hook for two reasons. First, its shape made it easy to use 2 hooks right next to each other, in order to provide added strength and security. For one piece that weighs at least 30 lbs., we even used 3 hooks, lined up in this side-by-side method, and it has held up perfectly. Second, we chose these white ones, since the picture rail is painted white, and they blend in so well. I would highly recommend these hooks and HoAH's outstanding customer service.
