Pair of Black Lacquer Colonial Butterfly Hinges - 2 1/4" H x 2" W

These hinges are manufactured very strangely. The finished (smooth, round edges) side of the hinge is the back of the hinge, and the front is unfinished (rough, sharp edges). I inquired if this was some kind of error, but according to customer service, it is not. I'm going to buy a similar style of hinge from another company b/c I refuse to put these backward hinges on the cabinet I worked so hard to build.

The hinges I bought perfectly match the ones in my Early American home, which is located in a town founded in 1764.

These hinges have a nice fit and finish. They are fairly heavy and swing nicely. They have had many compliments from our guests. The included hardware is a near priceless bonus.
