3 1/4" Beaded Brass Rosette For Pre-drilled Doors

This product is intended to be used as a rosette behind a door handle, but I repurpose it to add some pizzazz to the peep hole on my front door. It worked amazing!

I had to purchase the larger rosettes to cover the holes on our pre-drilled doors. Unfortunately, door knob sets that look 100 yrs old aren't made to fit the predrilled holes. I purchased the rosettes in the brushed nickel and they are beautiful and excellent quality, they just look larger than normal and less authentic. If I could do it over again, I would get the doors without the holes and pay a carpenter to do the proper drilling so I could use a smaller rosette. I also purchased the porcelain door knobs in white and they are beautiful. Make sure you do not get the rim set in which one knob has a wider shank and doesn't fit most rosette holes, and make sure you get a spindle that will fit the total width of your door, rosettes, and knobs. The spindles over 3.5 inches long will usually have to be cut shorter with a hacksaw for modern doors and that just adds more work to the project.

I bought the polished nickel finish to go with my antique porcelain white door knobs. What a great combination for my bathroom door! These rosettes are a perfect fit to cover the pre-drilled holes in my doors.

Easily converts modern door to ""vintage look"". Hardest part was to make sure it was centered on both sides of door, but turned out great!

I had my pantry door painted by a local artist and no way could I put the old brassy cheap door knob back on it. I found an antique black porcelain knob but the placket was long and narrow and wouldn't work with the round opening. This fit the bill perfectly! I really like the antique bronze color too.
