5 1/2" Edison Reproduction Light Bulb - 40 Watt

History at its most basic - the 1890 Edison Bulb with single loop carbon filament. An exiting innovation in its day, this standard base bulb is as captivating as ever. The dim but fiery glow is ideal for mood lighting and period-authentic interiors. The long single loop filament is delicate and must be installed vertically (up or down); it should not be installed horizontally or on angle. The E26 base fits all standard medium sockets. Made in USA. 40 watts, 110-120 volts, average 2000 hour life.

Please note, Edison style bulbs are not as bright as modern bulbs of the same wattage and are recommended for exposed socket fixtures. These bulbs can be dimmed.
