Description & Dimensions

Plain, yet elegant, this circa 1920 picture rail was popular in Colonial Revivals, bungalows and Craftsman style houses. It was typically installed close to the ceiling as a stand alone moulding, or combined with large crown moulding for greater effect. Made exclusively for painting, it's milled from pre-primed, finger-jointed pine. Sold only in 8' lengths, with a 5 piece minimum. Please call for info regarding volume discounts.

Dimensions: 2 9/16" tall x 3/4" projection. The bead is 5/8" in diameter. Please note: for picture molding to function properly, it must be positioned at least 1/4" below a ceiling or other moulding.

Hardware Tip:
Finger jointed means that the board is joined together from smaller pieces. The seams are visible and so this type of molding does not stain well. Learn about hardware >
