Surface mounted, it's a breeze to install and includes two strike plate options (decorative surface mount and plain mortise). This set has a black primer finish and should be painted prior to use to increase rust resistance. The latch features a handy privacy lock, which is great for keeping in pets & small children! Reproduced in cast iron with black primered finish.

This set is designed to be mounted on the inside of wood screen doors from 1" - 1 3/8" in thickness that open outward. For thinner doors, the spindle may be cut shorter. The backset is 1 5/16".
