Visually striking, the inverted shape of this historic bulb perfectly frames the delicate carbon filament. Reproduced from an 1892 Edison design, it looks wonderful in open socket pendants, sconces and chandeliers. 40 watts, 110-120 volts, average 2000 hour life. E26 base fits all standard medium sockets.
Please note, Edison style bulbs are not as bright as modern bulbs of the same wattage and are recommended for exposed socket fixtures. The long single loop filament is fragile and must be installed vertically (up or down); it should not be installed horizontally or on angle. These bulbs can be dimmed.
Carbon filament bulbs have a low lumen to wattage ratio like the originals. The wattage is for power consumption and does not specify brightness as these bulbs are dim compared with modern bulbs. Learn about hardware >
