This superb reproduction of an 18th century French sconce is palatial in scale, quality and style. In true Rococo fashion, the asymmetrical design is bursting with natural ornament, including flowers, acorns, foliage and vines. Brilliantly cast from solid brass with an aged gold finish and ivory drip candles. Hand-crafted in Spain.
Please note, this "right hand" sconce is asymmetrical in design. When mounting as pairs, order the companion "left hand" sconce.
To preserve the authenticity of this historic design, the fixture has been French wired (wiring is external and runs from the base of the candle along the arm, bound with small brass wires or plastic ties). This method of wiring was commonly used to electrify antique candelabra and chandeliers in the late nineteenth century.
Fixture is made of brass and measures 28 3/4" tall, 16 1/2" in width and projects 8". This light uses E12 candelabra base bulbs with a maximum wattage of 40W each.
For an authentic period lighting effect, use our genuine Edison-style bulbs in your fixture. These carbon filament bulbs are great for exposed sockets and cast a warm, mellow light. Learn about hardware >
