Oxford Mortise Entry Door Set With Oxford Knobs
Description
Recreated from an 1894 pattern known as "Belfort", this Neo-Gothic doorset makes a stately first impression. Originally designed by Sargent & Co, it has all the bells and whistles of the English medieval style - pointed arches, linen-fold panels and matching quatrefoill knobs. Crafted from premium cast brass, with 4 period finish options.
Door set dimensions. Backplates: 18" H x 3 3/8" W. Knobs: 2 1/4" D x 2 5/8" P (including back plate thickness).
Mortise lock dimensions. Faceplate: 8" H x 1 1/4" W. Lock Body: 5 1/2" H x 7/8" W x 3 1/2" D. Backset: 2 1/2". Strike plate: 4 7/8" H x 1 1/4" W. Tongue: 3/8"
Deadbolt specs. Double and single cylinder options are available and must be specified when ordering. Multiple sets on one order will be keyed differently unless otherwise requested. To key alike or to match a specific key number, please call to place your order.

This set will fit doors 1 3/4" in thickness. The mortise lock is reversible for left or right handing on doors opening in or out. Instructions are included. Other options, including dummy sets, thicker doors, split finishes, and additional knob and interior plate styles, are available by special order. Please call to order.
This lock has egress and can cause lock outs if the stop button is not disengaged when exiting the door.

Hardware Tip
Mortise Lock: Old style box lock that is installed into a deep pocket or “mortise” in the edge of the door. Generally, the mortise lock houses both the latch and dead bolt in one unit.
